Traditional Climbing

Are you curious how all that shiny gear works? Have you dreamed of the adventures possible while trad climbing, only to be held back by the technical skills required to effectively protect yourself? Start your journey today. Students will learn the theory of placing traditional protection, how to build solid anchor systems, and have opportunities to top rope climb while placing traditional gear and receiving instructor feedback. Crack climbing technique clinics are also available.

Gym to Crag

Excited for you first outdoor trip, but nervous about what to expect? Learn the proper etiquette of a responsible outdoor climber. Topics include Leave No Trace ethics, managing wildlife encounters, appropriate clothing and equipment, and the basics of climbing and cleaning sport routes.

Rappelling and Anchor Building

Interested in roped access and rappelling? You'll need solid anchors and rope management. In this course students will learn what makes a solid anchor, how to combine natural features into an anchor, and how to set up effective rappelling systems.
